Termites are a major worry: Recent pest control industry surveys suggest about one in three homes will suffer
a termite infestation in the Sydney metropolitan region. To make matters worse your home insurance policy
will NOT cover the damage which may involve costly replacement of structural floor, wall and roofing timbers.
Termites build such nests, where moisture collects inside the wall cavity, from leaking pipes, shower recess, faulty guttering and down-pipes. Your best protection is to arrange for a Termite Inspection and Report to Australian Standard 3660, including written specifications for a complete Termidor soil barrier treatment, where practicable, to protect your home. Prevention is better than cure. Where live Termite activity is found FUMAPEST Sydney Pest Control will install termite bait stations containing the Nemesis Termite Bait e closely monitor at 2 to 3 weekly intervals the stations to assess bait consumption and replenish bait therein. Nemesis termite bait contains an IGR insect growth regulator that prevents the worker termite from regrowing it's external skeleton after moulting. Worker termites ingesting the bait will feed partly digested timber and the termite bait to other termites in the central nest.
